A protective cap is provided to prevent accidental discharges. These units are used to apply controlling force in pre-entry situations and for area denial in medium to larger rooms ranging from hallways and tunnels to basements and prison day rooms. The OC vapor grenade can also be used to help aid in prisoner extraction and for crowd control situations. Also because this is an aerosol grenade there are no sparks, heat, or possibility of accidental fire damage.
